Nepal has a tradition known for its rich culture where food is the most important part of your occassion. There are several spices and herbs that constitutes of a hearty meal in Nepal, mainly garlic, ginger and cumin.

Nepal is also mostly made up of mountains and snow covered hills where any means of keeping yourself warm is futile. The only way the locals keep their body temperature at the necessary level is by hard work and a hearty meal.

The ritual of Pooja is one of the many traditions that nepalese have. A variety of herbs are collected by the priests. A huge firepit in the middle will eventually burn off all the spices, aroma of which travels miles in the air signifying the Pooja in a certain home.

Of course the sowing season is just a gleam of what will come next! The hard work in sowing all the rice fields with their bare hands are a miracle when you see hundreds of tons of rice grow on your field.
